We believe: children’s books lead us to a kinder world.
who we are…
Yan Chang Agency is a Shanghai-based children's book rights agency. With a deep foundation in children's books and a growing reach across visual narratives, we champion Chinese stories on the global stage, bring international voices into China, and foster a vibrant community of creators.
What we do…
Chinese stories to the world
Pictures and Words from the East — a dedicated initiative to project Chinese authors' work abroad. We represent select titles and manage rights sales to bring their stories to international publishers.
International voices into China
We curate author events and illustration exhibitions that introduce global creators to Chinese audiences, while also acquiring foreign rights to bring outstanding international works into the local market.
A vibrant community of creators
We run picture-book travels across China and overseas, plus workshops and courses for new and aspiring creators. These experiences foster cross-cultural connections, turning stories into shared journeys that go beyond the book.
