  • As summer approaches, a young girl has to leave her hometown and move to the city. Before her departure, she goes to the river to play, takes a look at the local landscape, and bids farewell to her friends…

Together, we walk into a world filled with the richness of summer that embodies the emotions the young girl has for her hometown, her friends, and also her excitement for her new life yet to come.

  • Wei Jie (writer) is an award-winning poet. Being one of the most important children’s poet in China, she has published more than 30 picture books. In 2011, her comprehensive poetry brought her China’s major award in Children’s literature, the Chen Bochui Children’s Literature Award.

    Li Xiaoguang (illustrator) graduated from Hebei Normal University with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts in 1999. In 2009, he graduated from the Printmaking Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts with a master's degree. Now he is an associate professor of Nanjing Art University and a member of the Chinese Artists Association. His works have won the Gold Award of the 11th National Art Exhibition and the Guanlan International Printmaking Award, which has also been collected in the National Art Museum of China and many other public institutions. He spent around two years to finish this book.
